The M&P M2.0 Compact OR is a solid contender in the crowded 9mm market. We've seen a lot of pistols come and go, but S&W nailed the balance here: it's big enough to run hard at the range or carry as a duty gun, yet still manages to ride comfortably for everyday concealed carry. The optics-ready slide with multiple plates is a smart move, giving you options without extra trips to the gunsmith. You get suppressor-height sights right out of the box, which is a real plus for co-witnessing.
What sets the M2.0 apart is the M&P's improved trigger and the aggressive grip texture. Some might find the grip a bit much at first, but it locks into your hand when you're shooting, especially if your hands are wet or sweaty. The ability to swap backstraps is also a welcome touch. Smith & Wesson includes seven different mounting plates, ensuring compatibility with most popular optic configurations.
